Boat Description

Stylist is a rather smart well-equipped Dufour 1800. Launched in 1980, the 1800 evolved from the Dufour 25 and is probably the ultimate pocket cruiser with over 200 built from 1979 until production ceased 3 years later. The 1800 refers to the displacement of 1800 Kg, not LOA. The design became very popular in the early 80’s, setting the benchmark for small cruisers.

Stylist is a little over 25ft and surprisingly spacious with 4 good size berths. Under current ownership, she has undergone many improvements and upgrades including a redesign, by a Naval Architect, of the Lifting System for the keel. Equipped with tiller pilot, chart plotter, plus new batteries, wind turbine, recent engine service, and even a new sea toilet. All this in the last two years plus a fresh coat of antifoul in July this year. Stylist is ready and able, and with the benefit of the lifting keel and beaching legs, Stylist can anchor in areas that other boats cannot reach!

This stylish pocket-cruiser has a grey sprayhood and sail cover in keeping with her contemporary grey interior. Down the companionway finds the galley to starboard with its 2 burner meths hob, sink, and coolbox. To port is the chart table with Garmin echomap 50s chart plotter, VHF DSC radio, engine control panel, electric panel, and Kenwood radio/cd.

The two grey fabric sofas with storage shelving above and the pair of pioneer stereo speakers make for comfortable enjoyment aboard and convert to two single berths, one with trotter box. With the wind turbine providing additional power for those extended periods at anchor.

Forward is a sliding door to the recently fitted manual sea toilet with basin opposite.

The forecabin has a privacy curtain and double berth which continues the modern grey upholstery with a hatch giving plenty of natural light.

Stylist is a well-maintained and well-equipped cruiser that is reluctantly for sale by the current owners due to mainland commitments hence the low asking price, therefore an early viewing is advised.
