S/V Latitude Found is now on the market!   The Leopard 47 was designed by Alex Simonis and built by Robertson and Caine in Cape Town,  South Africa.  These beautiful, classic cats were renowned for their high quality, sturdy build and blue water capabilities.  The older Leopards were built with thicker hulls for more durability than the newer models.   The sleek design of these catamarans makes for a speedy, outstanding offshore performance.  The Leopard is also unique in that it uses reliable shaft drives instead of the typical sail drives found on many catamarans.

As well as being an excellent offshore cat,  S/V Latitude Found is both comfortable and spacious inside and out.  The interior has been kept in immaculate condition and is a well laid out design with:

• 4 private, spacious cabins which sleep 8
• 4 heads
• Extremely well ventilated with many opening ports and hatches throughout

• Large opening hatches over every bed

   

The U-shaped galley has plenty of counter space and is equipped with:

• Force 10 propane stove with oven
• Waeco refrigerator and Waeco freezer

• 2 large stainless sinks

   

The salon features a beautiful V-shaped table that lifts up and down, and there is additional storage under the settees.   On the exterior, there is ample room to entertain many guests with plenty of seating at and around the large cockpit table.  This vessel has a hard top and a stout davit pulley system as well.

S/V Latitude Found is powered by 2  Yanmar  4JH4E  56hp diesel engines  kept in excellent condition. The motors were just serviced and cleaned this March 2025.   All sails are in good condition:

• Mainsail:   full battened Quantum with stack pack

• Headsail:   Genoa new in 2018 with roller furling

   

There are three 44  Lewmar winches  and  two  54 Lewmar winches.  The standing rigging is a Mast Sparcraft 2 spreader cable Norseman 10 and 12 mm.  There is plenty of navigation equipment on board, including:

• Raymarine C95 multi-data/chart/radar/Sea Talk plotter
• Raymarine autopilot
• Standard Horizon Matrix AIS

• GX2150 AIS receiver

   

This vessel is outfitted to go cruising on long journeys with the capacity to hold:

• 211 gallons of water
• 150 gallons of fuel

• 40-gallon holding tank

   

There is also a DB SK series 45 g/h water maker to keep your tanks full.   In 2024, 4 new Longi solar panels were installed at 505 watts each (2,020 watts of solar!),  along with 2 smart solar Victron MPPT 100/50 controllers with mobile app.   Additional features include:

• Xantrex prose 1400-watt dc/ac converter
• Sentry battery charger 12v / 40 amps 3 output FC series
• 4 new Ecogreen gel 12v 100ah maintenance-free batteries installed in March 2025

• Anti-fouling paint and gel coat redone in September 2024

   

S/V Latitude Found has been cruised consistently throughout the Western Caribbean for the last 4 years by the present owner who has recently passed away.   The Estate has put the vessel up for sale and has recently had all required maintenance done, new upholstery,  and a thorough cleaning in preparation for the sale.
